5 Tech Gadgets That Will Make Your Work Easier

As a massage therapist, it is likely that you could work in a number of different environments, from doctor's offices to private homes. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't being able to conduct business seamlessly, no matter where you are. Fortunately, there are a lot of great products on the market to help you do just that. Here are five tech gadgets that will make your work life easier:

Smart phone. There is so much you can do with your smart phone when it comes to managing your massage therapy business that there simply isn't enough space here to roll out a list. Invest in a smart phone with a lot of memory, and then download apps to help you with scheduling, billing, organizing your clients lists, balancing your budget, itemizing your expenses, and more.

Credit card reader. Now that you've got your smart phone and have downloaded some handy apps, it is time to make use of this relatively new technology. You don't have to count on your clients having cash or writing checks when you can't be near a credit card machine. Credit card readers like Square and Intuit GoReader plug right into your smart phone so that you can accept credit and debit card payments on the go.

Tablet computer. Sometimes the tiny screen of your smart phone just won't do. If you are out and about and need to interview a client, make changes to your website, or write a post for your massage therapy blog, then a tablet computer may be just what you need. Larger than a smart phone and smaller than a laptop, a tablet is lightweight and transportable enough to take with you anywhere.

Dyson Hot Fan Heater. As you know, the essential oils you use during a massage therapy session draw the heat from your clients' bodies and often leave them feeling a bit chilly, and it's not unusual to have to warm a massage space to up the comfort level. This high-tech space heater is more expensive than its less modern counterparts, but it is super fast and efficient, and can ultimately save you a lot of time and money on heating costs.

Speaker dock. Soothing audio is often an integral part of creating ambiance for a massage therapy session. However, it is not practical for you to haul a stereo system around with you everywhere you go. A pint-sized speaker dock that enables you to plug in your smart phone, tablet, or portable music player is the perfect solution.
