$5 storage solution

I picked up this funky, 1970's circa shelf at my local Goodwill store about 6 months ago.  It's been in my garage just waiting for a makeover. I really didn't have anywhere to put it, but I knew it would come in useful sometime and for $5, I couldn't resist.

First it was cleaned and sanded, then cleaned again.  Two coats of French Blue acrylic paint by Plaid was used as the base coat.  Once that dried, Tangelo Orange paint by DecoArt was sponged into the fluted posts. The orange paint was only allowed to stay on about 30 seconds, and then it was rubbed off with a damp rag.

EASY, CHEAP AND QUICK!
