Athletes and big business might not seem to sit well together at first glance; after all, most sporting heroes are big on brawn and not so big on brains right? Wrong! There have been many sports stars over the past 20 years or so who have made it big in the world of business following their retirement from their sporting life. They are the people who have managed to harness their personal development as they shift from one profession into another and many of them did it with the help of a personal development coach.
Sports stars understand the need for coaches; they didn’t win gold medals without the help of their coaches…so it stands to reason that other professions need the support of a personal development coach too!
Whilst many sports stars go on to television presenting or to commentate on their field, others move on to different pastures utilizing their fame and influence to elbow their way into the world of big business. Some of the most impressive hail from the USA whilst others are Australian or British but one thing they’ve all got in common is that they excel in all they do and that their personal development skills are excellent!

She was widely quoted as saying “Some people say I have attitude; maybe I do…but I think you have to. You have to believe in yourself when no one else does. That makes you a winner right there.”
If anyone knows about being a winner it’s Venus and she’s going on to prove what an attitude can do for people on and off the court.
