There's been a lot of buzz surrounding who the opening act for One Direction's Where We Are US/Canadian tour will be this summer, and it's finally been confirmed - it's 5 Seconds Of Summer!

The band took to their Twitter Friday afternoon to make the big announcement. This won't be the first time these two bands have worked together on the road. The Australian boys of 5SOS teamed up with the UK superstars last year on One Direction's sold out arena tour, and after the positive response they received from fans, they're doing it all over again this year. Recently 5 Seconds of Summer announced that before they hit the road with 1D, they will be going on their own headlining tour this Spring. Although the venues might not be as grand as the stadiums One Direction is selling out (they already SOLD OUT 3 shows at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena), their shows offer a more intimate experience with these Aussie boys before seeing them on the big stage this fall. The band also announced that their new EP, She Looks So Perfect (video above), is available for pre-order now and will be available to purchase on April 1st.

The Where We Are tour with both One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer is stopping by Glendale at the University of Phoenix Stadium on September 14th, 2014. The only band that has played at that stadium before is The Rolling Stones in November of 2006, so this show is sure to be one for the history books.

Other dates for the Where We Are tour can be found at the tour's official website, and dates for 5 Seconds of Summer's headlining show can be found on their official Tumblr page. Be sure to follow both One Direction and 5SOS on Twitter for the latest news and updates about events and new music!
