Sangria is the perfect cocktail to serve at cookouts and dinner parties: it can be made in advance, and you won’t spend your evening shaking up individual drinks. Here are five sangrias to consider for your next party:
Fall fruit sangria. It isn’t quite yet the season for this apple and pear sangria, but it is getting close. Adding the cinnamon stick to the hard cider and wine really makes it feel like fall.
Roasted cherry sangria. Roasted cherries have a deep, complex flavor that is complemented by the wine and Kirsch. A few mint or basil leaves brighten up the sangria in both color and taste.
Watermelon strawberry citrus sangria. Watermelon, lime and orange juices are spiked with rosé wine, vodka and limoncello to create a hot pink sangria.
White sangria. Peaches and honeydew are the star of this show. Make this while the fruit is still in season.
