Have you always wanted to audition for American Idol? Do you think you have what it takes? Well, now is your chance to show Idol’s three judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. what you’ve got. The auditions for the 14th season of American Idol are underway and you could be a part of it all. Maybe you want to audition, but you’re scared. There’s no reason to have fear when we have the 5 best reasons why you should audition and why you won’t regret doing so. Here’s why:

1. Jena Irene

Detroit bred, a killer singer and a wildcard who made it to the top two. Who’s to say that, that can’t be you one day? Irene took a brave step of faith to go onto American Idol and made Detroit proud to take her in under their wing. Don’t let the lights of fame in Hollywood scare you. Detroit can own American Idol. Just ask Jena.

2. Online auditions

To audition you don’t have to leave your house. All you have to do is go on to American Idol’s website, make an audition profile and then audition right from your computer. There is no facing the fear of singing in front of the judges, at least not yet.

3. You may learn a thing or two

Auditioning for the biggest competition in America is not easy and it’s an extreme brave thing for an individual to do. Whether you think you are going to be the next American Idol or not, the judges are not easy to please. While they are not at all easy to please, they can teach you a thing a two during your audition, which if you are willing to learn can come a long way.

4. Better your craft

Auditioning for American Idol is a stressful experience, but it motivates you to better your craft vocally. You may or you may not make it to Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. If anything, auditioning can help better your craft just by practicing and if you do make it to the famous panel of judges, they can help you all the more.

5. Jennifer Lopez might dance with you
