Yesterday, the 5 Points Pictures branch of Right Stuf, Inc. announced that they would be changing the official launch date, it was scheduled for release next week, for their upcoming Korean film, “Punch”, to March.
“Punch” is a coming-of-age film about a soft-spoken rebel named Wan-deuk, who finds that he expresses himself best with his fists and wants nothing more than to break free from the watchful eye of his homeroom teacher, Dong-ju. Getting out from under Dong-ju’s meddling is more difficult than you might expect, mainly because along with being an educator who is more concerned with the world outside of classroom than the schools regulations, Dong-ju also lives next door to Wan-deuk. Dong-ju also blindsides Wan-deuk with some interesting news; the mother that Wan-deuk never knew is a Filipino immigrant, and she wants to see him.
The "Punch" two-disc special edition’s release is now slated for Mar. 12, 2013, but some stores will be honoring the Feb. 19, 2013 release date.
