5 New Hip Hop artist take on the industry in: Sisterhood of Hip Hop on Oxygen

The music industry is a battle field and for up and coming female hip hop artist trying to make it in the game their music is not the only thing they are going to have to prove.

The Oxygen network is shining the spotlight on five talented and diverse up and coming female hip hop artist ready to prove they have what it takes to make it in the male dominated field of rap music.

Meet the ladies of Oxygen’s newest reality show Sisterhood of Hip Hop. The show will focus on the ladies as they work toward their individual goals of proving they have what it takes to make it in the game of hip hop music. The ladies will be working to find their unique voices, stand out from one another and work toward the ultimate goal of becoming the next big breakout star of Hip Hop music.

Meet Diamond, first thing you notice is her vivid bright purple and violet hair color. Diamond is no light weight she has been around the music industry since the age of 14 and her single “Lotta Money” garnered Diamond a nomination at the 2011/2012 BET Awards for Best Female Hip Hop artist.

Meet Brianna Perry, Brianna looks a little like singer Keri Hilson. According to Oxygen Brianna is looking to restoring innocence to the female rap game and she refuses to compromise the femininity and the edge she needs to survive in today’s hip hop world.

Meet Nyemiah Supreme the diva with the long blonde braid started out as a backup dancer for Chris Brown and Lil Mama. Nyemiah has worked with music producer Timberland and her first single “Rock-N-Roll” featured Timberland on the hook. Nyemiah is ready to prove she is not only a good dancer but a force to be reckoned with in the game of hip hop.

Meet Bia the new kid on the block from Miami. Bia is following her dreams and banking on her talents not willing to turn back Bia is going full force at all cost to prove she is the real deal.

Last but not least meet Siya, the survivor of the girls who has overcome family challenges and obstacles with the law. As an openly gay female rapper Siya is ready to let her style and music speak for its self and prove the haters wrong.

Sisterhood of Hip Hop premieres Tuesday August 12 at 9 p. m. on the Oxygen network.
