So it's your first date and you have no idea what to do – you're really still getting to know this person. Where should you take them? A dinner and movies may sound great to some people but comes off completely outdated and unoriginal to the majority of us. You have come to the right place. Below is a list of 5 great places to get to know your date and have fun doing it.
Even if you're not an artist, Paintlounge is a great place to let loose and get dirty (no pun intended) Located in the heart of Little Italy, Paintlounge parties and events will keep the finger foods and beverages flowing as you unwind and get set up with an easel, canvas and some painting tools.
Why this is a great date spot: maybe you have an inner Pablo Picasso and maybe you don't but either way, this place will at least get a chuckle or two out of the things you can create with a paintbrush and some time. If you're into your date, you can even ask for help with your painting and let them guide your hand along the canvas for a little flirty fun.
Snakes & lattes
Snakes & lattes is just as fun as it sounds. Located in the annex, Snakes & lattes is a cafe/bar that is based around the love of board games. It is divided into two major rooms, one that is LLBO licensed and one that is not. So whatever your mood, coffee or beer – they've got you covered.
Why this is a great date spot: We all loved games like monopoly, clue and life growing up and Snakes & lattes has all of your old favourites but on top of that, they have more, much more. With over 100+ games to choose from you could waste hours here without even knowing it. It's also a great way of testing someones wits, skills and reflexes.
Joe Rockhead's indoor rock climbing
If you're more of a person that likes a challenge, Joe Rockhead's would be the place for you. Located at 29 Fraser avenue in Toronto, Joe Rockhead's offers packages for each level of expertise. This indoor rock climbing gym still stands as the 'best, largest and most evolved in the country.'
Why this is a great date spot: You can challenge each other, both mentally and physically. If you can get through this sweaty mess of a date – kudos. It also doesn't hurt to scope a check at his/her sweet butt as they climb up the rock wall above you.
Located in the gay village, O.Noir provides an extremely unique and intriguing dining experience for those who attend – to cut to the chase, it's dining in the dark. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be completely blind while all other senses are heightened? If you have, then O.Noir is the right fit for you. Come here to enjoy a 3 course meal with nothing more than your taste buds and good conversation (hopefully)
Why this is a great date spot: From a woman's perspective – It would be nice to know that you can go to a restaurant and have dinner with someone and know that they're actually listening to you and not just checking out your cleavage. Other than that? It's dark, if you're into your date and feeling a little frisky... well nobody can see you. If you're date is a Vegetarian – there's options for that too.

Thursday and Saturday evenings are the best bet for date nights as it is only open to customers 18+.
Why this is a great date spot: What's better than busting a move, on skates? There is no place better to let out your inner child - goof off, chuckle, fall down and get back up again, scooter's spells fun.
