ZooAmerica in Hershey is having a special on Fridays in February and March – admission is only $5! This is a savings for adults and children alike as regular prices are $10.50 per adult and $8.50 per child. Of course children 2 and under are admitted free as always.
According to ZooAmerica this is “our animals’ most active season.” The zoo is divided into habitats:
- Southern Swamps (check out the Roseate Spoonbill, the only pink bird native to North America)
- Eastern Woodlands (barn owls are in this area – if you see a staff member with one ask if it is Cosmo, the blind barn owl who does many presentations for them and is a favorite of kids!)
- Northlands (the bald eagle, wolves, lynx, and reindeer among others)
- Big Sky Country (mountain lions are here)
- The Great Southwest (vampire bats and the adorable ocelots are in this section)
ZooAmerica is located at 201 Park Avenue in Hershey. For additional information please call (717) 534-3900.
