There are several farmers markets in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Here are a few worth checking out.
1. Vendors at the Dallas Farmers Market provide local produce, flowers, meat, crafts and more. There are even cooking classes held at the market.

2. The Coppell Farmers Market is held 8 a.m. until noon or sellout each Saturday, April 10 through November 20. Vendors offer sorbet, flowers, produce, soaps, meat, eggs, dog treats and more.

3. The EatGreenDFW Farmers Market at Mockingbird Station launches Earth Day and will be held 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays. Check out treats from local farmers and artisans, including jams, olive oils and cheeses.

4. The Frisco Farmers Market is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until everything is sold) each Saturday, May 1 through October 23. Visitors can browse local produce, baked breads, honey, crafts and other products at the market.

5. The White Rock Local Market is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second Saturday of each month, March through November. Vendors who live within 150 miles of Dallas and who practice organic, sustainable practices offer produce, plants, garden supplies and more.

Thanks! It's difficult to get to the Dallas Farmers Market regularly, so I'll definitely check out these others that are closer to home.

Is located in Van Alstyne, Texas (between McKinney and Sherman TX). We are open on Saturdays from 8-2. North on 75 to exit 51 (Stephens Road), go to the light take a left (Coming from Dallas) or a right (Coming from the Sherman area), go three miles and the market is located in a red barn on your right hand side of the road at the intersection of FM 121 and 3356. We have hand made crafts of all kinds, fresh baked items, locally grown veggies, fresh eggs and "The Tamale Man"! We would love to have you visit us!
