Fourth of July is this weekend!  Most everyone will be celebrating by either going to or having their own cookout.  Here are some easy recipes to make this holiday weekend.   A shopping list is included at the end of this article so you can shop for everything you need for a successful cookout this Fourth of July holiday.  Serves 8 people.

Calico Beans

Red White and Blue Potato Salad

  • 5 pounds red potatoes, chunked
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. diced red onion
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • fresh dill, chopped

Boil potatoes in salted water for 20 minutes.  Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking process.  In a large bowl mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles, salt, pepper, onions, garlic, and dill.  Add cooled potatoes to the dressing mixture.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.  Makes 8 servings.

Sunny Lemonade

  • 2  12 oz. cans frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1  12 oz. can frozen white grape juice concentrate
  • 17 1/2 c. cold water
  • In a large container mix all ingredients together.  Serve over ice.

1/2 lb. bacon
20 oz. (2 ½  cups) blue cheese crumbles
8 oz. (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz. package cream cheese and 8 oz. package cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
butter or margarine
ketchup
mayonnaise
Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
2 can kidney beans
1 can pork and beans
2 cans butter beans
2 cans navy beans
garlic powder
chili powder
salt
pepper
brown sugar
sugar
white vinegar
dry mustard
vanilla extract
vegetable oil
1 box Betty Crocker Original Supreme Brownie mix
2 12 oz. cans lemonade concentrate
12 oz. can white grape juice concentrate
eggs
small container blueberries
small container raspberries
small container strawberries
8 ears of corn
5 lbs. red potatoes
1 lime
1 red onion
1 yellow onion
garlic head
fresh dill

    Donna, the photo is from google.com. However, I took some pictures exactly like this last year with my Canon Powershot A540. I couldn't find them so I used that one instead. Hopefully I can get some good pictures again this year! :-)
