As you prepare for your next get-together, think about creating a holiday-themed “candy” centerpiece so guests can mingle with sweets and friends. This centerpiece is easy, with almost everything available in the grocery store... and only calls for assorted stick gum, Life Savers candies and a few pipe cleaners. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.
You will need
1. (3) small recycled glass jars or juice glasses
2. Scissors
3. (2) silver metallic pipe cleaners; cut 4” longer than glass
4. Bag of Wintergreen or Peppermint Life Savers
5. Red & blue sticks of gum for stripes
Instructions
1. Line three glasses with stick gum, leaving about 1” between sticks. Alternate pieces with blue and red wrappers to give a festive feel. Unwrap approximately 30 pieces of the Life Savers candies and place mints in glass, filling to the top.
2. Complete centerpiece display by placing a pipe cleaner in the center of each glass to make a firework “fuse”. Round-off the top of pipe cleaner by bending slightly. Place together on table and enjoy the show!
