4th best cartoon ever: Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a Half Century

Starring Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers, Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a Half Century, has been voted the 4th best cartoon in history.

An obvious parody on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the story began with Daffy searching for the shaving cream atom.  You heard it right.

Porky Pig was Daffy’s “space cadet,” and helped him plot a course to Planet X.  Daffy had configured a circuitous route, one that was simplified by Porky in such a way that Dodgers could take credit.   The two landed on the planet in due time.

Dodgers and Marvin the Martian tried to ‘claim’ the Planet X simultaneously and a strategic battle of the minds began.  Planet X was subsequently destroyed as the two battled with secret weapons.

What little was left of Planet X was claimed by Dodgers, with Space cadet (Porky) and Marvin Martian barely clinging to a root.

Porky, in his patented stuttering voice, ended the cartoon by stammering, ‘Eh, b-b-b-b-big deal.’
