4th Annual Meow Chow Chili Dinner Fundraiser

Belton, Missouri is home to a wonderful no kill shelter, the HELP Humane Society. This Dec. 4th, 2010, join them for a fundraiser featuring a chili or chili dog dinner complete with desserts and non alcoholic beverages, all for $7, with kids under 3 eating for free.

This is a great chance for animal lovers to get together and support a great local shelter. All proceeds from the dinner directly benfit the HELP Human Society and the many homeless animals they bring in each month. Take a night off from cooking, bring the whole family and lend your support to this local animal shelter.

Included in the evening's events are a chinese auction, just in time to find things for the holidays, and plenty of games to play. The chili dinner is Sat. Dec. 4th from 4pm to 8pm and is being held at the Church of the Nazarene at 100 S. Sunrise Drive, in Raymore, Missouri.

The shelter provides homeless pets with food, shelter, medical attention and love. The shelter is a unique free roaming shelter, where the animals live more like they are in a real home. The shelter can always use donations of items like blankets and towels and medical supplies like antibiotic creams or syringes. They are also happy to accept volunteer help to work in the shelter and care for the animals. Another way to support this shelter is by shopping online at Pet Junkie. 35% of all purchases goes directly to the shelter. Pet Junkie has tons of great products to choose for your pets.

Pet adoptions are their main focus. The shelter strives to remain a no kill shelter and find homes for all animals they take in. HELP Humane Society's website features an online adoption application that will expedite the adoption process, and photos of the animals currently at the shelter are available for viewing.

I am so, SO excited for the dinner! I went last year and although it was heart breaking to see all the pictures of the homeless animals, it was such a humbling experience to be supporting such a great shelter.

This sounds like a fun event and a wonderful way to support a great organization! I also hear that there are going to be some awesome auction items, too, just in time for Christmas!
