Despite the fact that 4J Studios has stated that they are solely focusing on launching the PS3 version of Minecraft, the developer’s official Twitter account announced on Wednesday that another skin pack for the game will be “available soon” for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. The announcement comes as a surprise since the team recently said that they won’t be releasing any more content until they have finished work on Minecraft: PS3 Edition.

Skin Packs for the popular console version of Minecraft allow fans to apply new skins to their in-game player avatars in order to change their appearance. Past skin packs have introduced options to play as wild animals, historical figures, or even characters from licensed franchises such as Borderlands and Assassin’s Creed.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is now available in stores or as a digital download via Xbox Live Arcade. The developer is also working on versions of the popular block building title for the PS3; with editions also planned for a later release on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PS Vita. Each console port is expected to launch with all title updates and DLC releases that have appeared on the Xbox 360 version of the game up to the point of their release.
