The FDA released information concerning a recall by 4C Foods Corp. which involved 6-ounce glass jars of their 4C Grated Cheese HomeStyle Parmesan due to possible salmonella contamination.

The 4C Foods Corp. products that are part of this recall include only the 6-ounce size products and has a UPC code of 0-41387-32790-8. The jars are stamped BEST BY JUL 21 2016 and JUL 22 2016

Although there have been no illnesses involving the recalled 4C Grated Cheese HomeStyle Parmesan, the discovery of salmonella during a routine test by the FDA prompted this recall.

The recalled 4C Grated Cheese HomeStyle Parmesan was distributed in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
