The NFL announced its preseason schedule on Wednesday afternoon. San Francisco 49ers will be hosting the Denver Broncos for the first ever football game at Levi's Stadium in the second week of the NFL preseason. They will also play the San Diego Chargers the following week in mid-August.

Their first exhibition game will be a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII as they will travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens in the opening week of the preseason. The final game of the preseason will be on the road against the Houston Texans.

With the exception of Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers, the dates and times have yet to be finalized. The 49ers will host the Chargers in a nationally televised preseason game on August 24 at 1:00 p.m. on FOX.

This is the third straight year the 49ers will not play the Oakland Raiders in the preseason due to fan violence in 2011. They will play both the Broncos and Chargers during the regular season.
