The San Francisco 49ers announced they have trimmed the roster to 75 players on Monday afternoon, one day ahead of the Tuesday 1:00 p.m. PT deadline.

They waived seven players and put eight others on a separate list which will not count against the 75-man roster. The 49ers have waived QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, S D.J. Campbell, TE Kevin Greene, RB Jewel Hampton, P Colton Schmidt, LB Kion Wilson and WR Devon Wylie as well as released WR David Reed.

LB Blake Costanzo was also released off the injured reserve which is presumed to be an injury settlement.

The 49ers additionally placed RB Marcus Lattimore, FB Trey Millard, CB Keith Reaser and G Brandon Thomas on the Non-Football injury list (NFI). This is the second consecutive season that Lattimore will start the year on the NFI and will not play the first six weeks of the season. LB NaVorro Bowman, TE Garrett Celek and DL Kaleb Ramsey were placed on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) as they also will presumably be missing the beginning of the season.

There will be one more exhibition game to end the preseason on Thursday, August 28 as the 49ers will face the Houston Texans at 5:00 p.m. PT.
