From @SF49ers3: How do you think the WR depth chart will look for Sunday?
The depth chart will be very simple. Anquan Boldin is the unanimous No.1 receiver with a rotation of No.2 receivers. Kyle Williams, Quinton Patton and Marlon Moore will all get an even amount of playing time behind Boldin depending on the plays. Each player has a different set of skill with Williams having the most experience, but Moore and Patton have made impressive plays in their short time on the team.
Jon Baldwin will be the fifth receiver and could be seen as a project who can be a red zone target if he works on his hands. He was known to drop the ball and remained inconsistent while with the Chiefs. Chris Harper will be the sixth receiver on the team.
From @yougomango: How do you think Niners plan to use Chris Harper this season if at all & will it make Garrett Celek vulnerable?
Harper will be a long-term project of the 49ers and could be used sparingly for the 2013 season. He could be a versatile "Swiss army knife" type of player that Delanie Walker was last season. Harper has a similar frame at 6-foot, 234 pounds and might be another blocker. It wouldn't be surprising if Jon Baldwin becomes inactive in a few games depending on the opponent if Harper brings something to the team.
For Celek, he will only get a handful of snaps and you are correct that it makes the second-year tight end vulnerable. Celek had a poor preseason and couldn't block well. While the preseason is over, the competition is not and it will be interesting to see if Harper can impress the 49ers coaching staff in a short time.
It's very unlikely he will be traded unless another team is desperate. The NFL trade deadline is after Week 8, which means the door could be open, but it depends if others want him. I see the overstocked amount of defensive players right now and think that someone like Nate Stupar or special teams player Bubba Ventrone could get cut when the time comes. Moore would indeed be on the bubble if the team doesn't like what they see during the regular season, but so far he has earned his way on the roster.
