Both the 49ers and Jaguars practice reports were released earlier today and rookie safety Eric Reid was not listed. In last Sunday's matchup against the Tennessee Titans, Reid suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for part of the game. However, he came back in and delivered a fierce tackle, indicating he is fine.
WR Jon Baldwin (illness), DT Glenn Dorsey (hamstring), DT Ray McDonald (biceps) and DT Justin Smith (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. All players are expected to play on Sunday against Jacksonville as they were on the field for last week's game.
G Alex Boone (shoulder), T Anthony Davis (shoulder), RB Frank Gore (ankle), CB Carlos Rogers (knee) and LB Patrick Willis (groin) were limited in practice. Donte Whitner, who suffered a knee injury last week, was listed as a full participant in practice.
For the Jaguars, DE Jason Babin (not injury related), WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring), C Brad Meester (not injury related) and WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) did not practice.
Meanawhile, Colin Kaepernick could have potentially faced three consecutive quarterbacks who were drafted before him in the 2011 draft, but now that won't happen. Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley announced that backup QB Chad Henne will start on Sunday for the third week in a row. Blaine Gabbert, who was drafted 10th overall in 2011, will be the backup as Henne outplayed him in recent games.
The 49ers faced Jake Locker (drafted eighth overall) in Week 7 and they will see Cam Newton (drafted first overall) in Week 10 after a bye week.
