49ers flub: Super Bowl power outage, strip club video add to crazy week

The Super Bowl always has its share of controversy, but did the San Francisco 49ers party a bit too much on Bourbon Street this week? It seems star players Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree and Patrick Willis were caught hitting a local strip club during the week leading up to the game.

Now, there is nothing wrong with enjoying a day on the town, but right now the 49ers are getting pounded in Super Bowl XLVII 28-6 and if they end up losing you know that some people are going to wonder why they were there in the first place.

The Huffington Post reported on Feb 1, a video provided to TMZ shows running back Frank Gore, wide receiver Michael Crabtree and linebacker Patrick Willis all entering the club just off the city's infamous Bourbon Street.

It hasn't been the best week for the Niners as far as the media goes.

On Wednesday, 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver caused controversy when he said he wouldn't welcome any gay members on the team. He did apologize for his remarks.

Maybe this Super Bowl power outage will help San Francisco.

The game has been delayed for almost a half hour as the lights went out do to a power surge with 13:22 left in the third quarter.

If the Niners end up coming back and winning the Super Bowl, it will be one of the biggest comebacks in NFL playoff history.
