According to, San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker Aldon Smith was detained by police officers, while waiting for a flight on Sunday afternoon. According to multiple witnesses, Smith was in line to board a plane at LAX when an argument ensued.

Soon enough, the cops had Aldon Smith in handcuffs. Law Enforcement said that the drama ensued once Smith became "belligerent and uncooperative" when he was “randomly’ selected for a secondary screening.

According to TMZ, there is footage of Smith stating that he did nothing wrong and the cops will be embarrassed after everything comes to light.

However, those witness reports say that Smith was alluding to having a bomb or some type of explosive. That is never a good accusation in any case. Still, most people don’t bring a bomb to an Airport and actually say they have one.

While this is another notch on his belt, PFT reports that Smith wasn’t out of control via John Egan. He states the cops were trying to calm him down, yet Smith continued to be agitated.

Earlier this month, Colin Kaepernick was part of an investigation into a possible sexual assault in Florida.

Last season, Aldon Smith was involved in a DUI accident and spent time in rehab. He also has an illegal weapons possession charge that has yet to be resolved.

None of these events pose as good news for the San Francisco 49ers.
