World Heavyweight Champion wrestler AJ Styles will join R&B artist Montell Jordan, BET program host CoCo Brother, and comedian Chonda Pierce to announce the nominees for the 43rd Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards at a press conference on Wed., Feb. 22 at 11AM ET at The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, GA.
The 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place on April 19 and will once again be held at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. The award show is produced by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) to offer the most comprehensive platform of music celebrating Christian and Gospel music and has historically been held in Nashville, TN -- the home of the Gospel Music Association.
The Dove Awards have previously featured some of the biggest names in entertainment and sports, including Whitney Houston, Tim Tebow, Sherri Shepherd and Kathie Lee Gifford. It has showcased many of the nation’s leading Christian music artists, including Amy Grant, Toby Mac, Michael W. Smith, Kirk Franklin, Casting Crowns, Mary Mary, Third Day and more. As reported in 42nd Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards' nominations announced, 2011 marked the first year the Doves flew the coop to Atlanta. Many in the Nashville area are wondering when the Doves will come home to roost.
