Vanessa Williams (Desperate Housewives, ABC), Tracee Ellis Ross (Reed Between the Lines, BET) and Craig Robinson (The Office, NBC) announced nominees for the 43rd Annual NAACP Imag Awards to include contributions in television, film, music and literature.
The Help, a movie about domestics working in 1960's era Mississippi, receieved the most nominations, 8. Beyonc and Jill Scott both received 4 nomnations each.
The gospel music nominees are:
Outstanding Gospel Album - (Traditional or Contemporary)
"Becoming" - Yolanda Adams (N House Music Group)
"Church on the Moon" - Deitrick Haddon (Verity Gospel Music Group)
"Hello Fear" - Kirk Franklin (Verity Gospel Music Group)
"Something Big" - Mary Mary (Columbia Records)
"The Journey" - Andraé Crouch (RiverPhlo Entertainment)
Kirk Franklin was also nominated for Outstanding Song of the Year ("I Smile") and the show he hosts on BET, Sunday's Best was nominated for Outstanding Reality Series.
NBC will broadcast “The 43rd NAACP Image Awards,” in a live, two-hour special on Friday, February 17 (8-10 p.m. ET)
