Trying to think of what to do this weekend?  The Mankato Chamber of Commerce has a wonderful list of fun winter activities.  With 42 in all, there's sure to be something that strikes your fancy.

Not in Mankato?  Many of these can be done in any town.

Here's a sample:

• Go exploring on one of our many trails. Want to speed up? Take your sled!
• Visit a local art center: Twin Rivers Center for the Arts or Carnegie Art Center.
• Head to the lanes: Jerry Dutler’s or Victory Bowl offer great bowling!
• Ride the carousel and shop  your favorite stores at the River Hills Mall!
• Enjoy a performance by the Mankato Ballet.
• Learn to ice fish on one of the many surrounding lakes.
• Make a difference- Volunteer for Kids Against Hunger.

Note that some of these are only in certain months.  The History Fest and Halloween are in October, and Christmas caroling might not be such a great idea in January.  Plenty of them are great ideas for any time of year though.
