400 inmates fight: Massive fight in state prison forces lockdown, guards injured

400 inmates fight has become a trending term tonight on several major search engines after Fox News reported this Sunday, March 3, that an Arizona prison is currently on lockdown following a massive fight that broke out among over 400 inmates.

The news headline this weekend read “Authorities end fight that broke out among 400 inmates at a prison in southern Arizona” and described that guards and jail staff were able to put an end to a fight that erupted this Sunday morning at the Arizona State Prison in Tucson.

Two staff at the prison have been reported to suffer injuries, while five inmates were also taken to local hospitals after getting hurt following the chaotic 400 inmates fight and subsequent lockdown. Although the guards’ injuries were described as minor, the condition of the inmates has not yet been reported.

The state prison is currently looking into the cause of the brawl, while it is also unknown how long it took to settle the fight. Almost 1,250 prisons are currently located within Whetstone Unit, while no inmates from the other seven jail units participated in the clash.
