"40 Days for Life" national leader to kick-off Orlando vigil March 3rd

From March 5 (Ash Wednesday) to April 13 (Palm Sunday) Orlando pro-lifers will be praying the rosary during the 40-day vigil outside the Planned Parenthood at 726 S. Tampa Ave.
40 Days for Life

Orlando, Florida – Shawn Carney, the national campaign director and co-founder of the peaceful, prayerful, effective 40 Days for Life project, will tell the story of this groundbreaking effort in Orlando on Monday, March 3, 2014. Carney will be speaking at the Orlando 40 Days for Life kick-off rally, which is set for 5:30p.m. in front of the Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando abortion facility, 726 South Tampa Avenue, Orlando, FL 32805.

"People in Orlando are making sacrifices to expose the abortion industry and to protect pre-born children and their mothers from abortion," Carney said. "I'm honored to be able to join these folks in prayer. Their efforts illustrate why we're seeing historic changes – more mothers choosing life, more abortion workers experiencing conversions and leaving the abortion industry, and more abortion centers closing their doors for good."

“We are tremendously pleased that Shawn will be here to support our 40 Days for Life effort,” said Irene Doyle spokesperson for the local 40 Days for Life campaign in Orlando. “He’s an energetic, enthusiastic speaker and we know he will be an inspiration.” Orlando is one of 251 locations in 11 countries conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from March 5 through April 13.

40 Days for Life is an intensive campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and grassroots educational outreach. Since 40 Days for Life began, in 2004, 8,245 mothers have chosen life for their children; 88 abortion workers have quit their jobs; and 44 abortion centers where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held have gone out of business.
