40-Day Devotional Journey to Easter: Day #18 - Choosing a path & Nick's story

You have a choice. You can choose eternal life through Jesus Christ or a different path.

I can tell you that Romans 12:1-2 is the Apostle Paul's plea that we who have chosen Jesus as Lord and Savior must be living and holy sacrifices that are acceptable to God. It is a plea that energizes my spiritual focus every year, because it was during a 40-day period before Easter 40 years ago that I surrendered my life to Christ.

Today's Devotional Scripture -

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know how what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. (Romans 12:1-2, New Living Translation)

Jesus Changes Lives

Though I could write three to six paragraphs about the message Paul directed to the Christians in Rome, I'd rather you see how Jesus changes lives. Please take 15 minutes and use it to watch the story of a man with no arms or legs who inspires others through his testimony.

Nick's Story

His name is Nick Vujicic and the two links are from a two-part story about him that appeared on "60 Minutes."

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your living Word. Continue to transform me into the likeness of your Son as I lean on the wise counsel of the Holy Spirit. Change my heart and my thinking to be in line with your will. In Jesus' name. Amen,
