Why is it worth doing all of this? Indeed.com is a highly used website by employers who are posting their jobs to be sponsored and highlighted. If they are offering a free resume database of thousands, millions of people who are job searching all over the world, that’s a great tool in my eyes! It’s so new and there is very little competition on there, so it’s worth getting your resume on there and take your chances of being seen over your competition with this upcoming trend.
- Twitter – When you upload a resume to Indeed.com, you are given a pre-built twitter link to post. It’s as easy as pushing a button, for real! You change the text every time you post to keep your content “fresh” as they call it. Example: Looking to hire for a sales support, coordinator, who works well under pressure? Check out my resume - http://www.indeed.com/r/49d78df94949593f #indeed #resume
- LinkedIn – You can add your Indeed.com resume link to your LinkedIn profile and then share it into all of your groups. It’s a great way to get exposure and to keep your status updated. Again, keeping your information “fresh.”
- Facebook – Of course Facebook was going to be listed! My thoughts on Facebook are it’s probably the top resource out of all of them. I think there’s so much potential to reach so many people on a personal and business level. Indeed.com thinks so too! So they also generate a link for your facebook posting.
- Your Indeed Resume Link – This link is great to showcase on your resume, in your email signature, on your business cards and anywhere else that makes sense to do so! You can personalize your link indeed.com/meFirstName_LastName
I personally have used Indeed.com to source resumes. So far I have contacted about 5 people and 3 of them, have responded showing some interest. Not a bad statistic so far. So go to www.indeed.com and get your resume posted!
