It's back-to-school time once again.  While getting your supples together, also take time to learn what skills are going to be taught in the the new grade to prepare for homework help.  By doing this you will reduce alot of stress on both the child's and parent's part.

Helping your child with homework makes a parent feel as if they are in whatever grade the child is in and sometimes which is not a good feeling if it is a subject the parent doesn't know how to explain or do the work.

Here is a list to help you to get prepared:

  1. Know your child's learning style  Everyone learns differently.  The 3 learning styles are auditory, visual and kinstetic.  The meaning of auditory and visual learning are obvious, but kinistetic is not so clear.  Kinistetic means learning by example or doing.  This information will help you find resources suited to how your child learns which makes teaching information easier.
  2. Find a website which complements your child's grade and learning style - Kids have alot of homework anything your can do to make learning easier will lead to less frustration.
  3. Make sure you have school supplies readily available
  4. Check out online tutoring services - Technology has really come along way.  Online tutoring services are very effective and reasonably priced.  A tutor will connect to your computer and to assist your child with any homework assignments via a shared workspace.

Back-to-school is not just about buying school supplies and new schools.  It changes your whole routine from summertime to school time.  Having a plan in an advance on how to tackle, the inevitable homework problems, with help it will keep everyone focused and organized.  Homework time can be very frustrating for both parent and child.  Therefore, having the resources you need readily available will help.

Online tutoring is definitely a great way to learn. My kids have benefited a lot. The biggest advantage I see is time saving and easy scheduling and rescheduling options. My son and daughter (middle and high school) studied with tutors from ClickandClimb.com for over 7 months and got their confidence back! It's made my life easy and less stressful. Yay!
