Four more teens have been charged Monday in the robbery that led to the retaliation murder of a man who was stabbed in a bus station parking lot in Marietta.
But only three were in custody Monday, according to Marietta police.
Mr. Demetres Plascencio, 18, Mr. Jordan Billinglsy, 18, and a 16-year-old were arrested and charged with robbery, police spokesman Officer David Baldwin said.
Mr. Samario Koger, 19, has also been charged but remained on the run Monday, police said.
All four were charged with the robbery that led to retaliation and the death of 18-year-old Marquise Carruthers.
Around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 28, officers responded to a grassy area near the Cobb Community Transit terminal on South Marietta Parkway after getting a call about an unconscious person laying near the roadway. There they found the teen suffering from a knife wound to the chest, Officer Baldwin said.
Mr. Carruthers was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died.
Investigators later determined that an altercation had occurred between the victim and two juveniles at another location and ended violently near the CCT parking lot.
The following day, two teenagers, Josue Chapa, 14, and Brandon Betancourt, 16, both of Marietta, were arrested and charged with murder. Both were charged as adults.
Now police are searching for Mr. Koger.
Anyone with information on Mr. Samario Koger’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Marietta police anonymous tip line at (770) 794-6990.
