4 last minute Valentine’s Day planning ideas for friends

Valentine’s Day is one of those special occasions where people celebrate love. Although the holiday was primarily for lovers, it has taken a wider spin in the U.S.A. This is great because love is part of friendship and those who may not have a lover have plenty of friends to want to show their appreciation to and plan something with.

For Miami friends planning their Valentine’s Day last minute don’t worry, there are some options.

  1. Going out to eat. Everyone enjoys a good meal and there are plenty of restaurants in Miami that are not overbooked. Some restaurants are even having a special for Valentine’s Day and some days after today. Find a Valentine’s Day special restaurant to eat at (from today until February 17) on OpenTable.
  2. Concerts are always fun and Miami is holding the “Moonlight & Music” Valentine’s Day Concert at 8:00 p.m. For more information and tickets visit the Deering Estate At Cutler website.
  3. For the classical music enthusiasts: Grammy-winning violinist Hilary Hahn is playing at the Arsht Center at 8:00 p.m. More information on the Arsht Center website.
  4. Planning something at a friend’s house is always an option too. It could be the most special idea of them all. Ideas of what to do in that scenario start with cooking new recipes or Valentine’s Day themed items, as well as ordering in and having a themed movie marathon.

Hopefully one of these four ideas can help the day be a special one for friends in Miami. Celebrating love only takes the people that care about each other to share some time together. Do something special; enjoy the company and the warm Miami weather.
