The DC Capital Fringe Festival is gearing up for another summer of theatre under the tent at Fort Fringe. One of the most interesting projects to come along is a production of 4:48 PSYCHOSIS by the late British playwright Sarah Kane. The drama tells the tale of a women driven by the shock of her own suicide to reassemble the fragments of a life plagued by unsuccessful therapies and endless medications. The work was Kane's last play before she herself committed suicide. Factory 449: a theatre collective is presenting 4:48 PSYCHOSIS. Director John Moletress leads the cast, which includes Sara Barker, Lisa Hodsoll, Karin Rosnizeck, Julie Roundtree, Mary Suib, Sarah Thomas, Ali Walton, Stacy Whittle, Daniel Kenner, Theodore M. Snead and Mike Matlock. (I had the pleasure of working with John, Sara, and Julie on Washington Shakespeare Company's production of The Cherry Orchard this past winter).

A serious, seriously good play with gifted actors. I has no expectations going in other than it was good. It delivered. Catch it while you can.
