Atlanta Deadheads rejoice with “The Grateful Dead Movie" making a one-night appearance on big screens around the metro area. Released in 1977, the film is based on a series of concerts at Winterland in 1974. It is legendary among Grateful Dead fans for its animation, music and the “wall of sound.”

Theatergoers get first dibs on never before seen interviews with Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir, as if the chance to see the movie in theaters again wasn’t enough. The film is showing in Atlanta, Alpharetta and Marietta. Visit Fandango to find a theater in the Atlanta area. All showings of “The Grateful Dead Movie” are at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
