4/20 Boston Common, hundreds light up (Photos)

Boston Police and Park Rangers were present for part of 4/20 afternoon on the hill.

But they wisely decided by the magic time of 4:20 to let the crowd enjoy their high holiday.

No citations were issued, no arrests were made. Nobody was searched and asked not to photograph the Police or Park Rangers.

A couple of hundred people lit up cannabis at 4:20pm.

WBUR-Boston and the Boston Phoenix were two of the largest local media in attendance covering the "spontaneous" gathering.
