This bustling event at MIST Harlem (46 W. 116th St.) benefited the People's Resource and Development Association (P.R.a.D.A.), a non-profit organization that seeks to enrich the lives of low-income individuals, youth, and families in New York's urban areas. 100% of all proceeds from the New York Fashion Week fundraiser went to support PRaDA's "Anti-Teen Gun Violence" and "Fashion Academy" youth entrepreneurial programs. Presented by Storm PR Agency and hosted by PRaDA supporter and Love and Hip-Hop: New York star Yandy Smith, the event featured vendors across fashion and beauty industries, celebrity attendees, a fashion show, and musical performances!
VH1 Mob Wives stars Karen Gravano and Ramona Rizzo were in attendance, with Karen displaying her new hair line, "Tresses by Karen Gravano," and signing copies of her New York Times best-selling book, Mob Daughter. Ramona was promoting her "Roxanna Rizzo" line of beauty products. Celebrity interviewer Madison Jaye hosted the purple carpet and spoke with guests in the stylish VIP lounge. Other attendees included Mocca Brand Media's Mocca Styles, Jae Coop aka Maybach Coop (Maybach Music Group's first Latin artist), LaChic Media's Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez, acclaimed film writer and director Michael Pinckney, and MarieDriven PR's Marie Theodore.
Some of the designers and vendors were Miss Sassy Boutique, VIP Divas, Accentuating Bows, Original Housewife Collection, and Everything Girls Love. Sponsors were Trés Chic Cupcakes (some of the best cupcakes I've ever had), Profectiv Mega Growth (I am currently using their "Growth Lotion" and love it), Poyed by Velvette (delicious shrimp and chicken kebabs), OPI (can't wait to try their "Liquid Sand" polish from my gift bag!), and others. The headlining designer was the unbelievably creative E. Jaguar Beckford of Jaguar & Company Clothier.
