3DS games releasing in early 2013

Early 2013 is shaping up to be a busy season for the Nintendo 3DS. Some of their most anticipated games are releasing in the first quarter of this year. Here are three video games coming out in the next few months for the 3DS.

“Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon”
The game that was first announced at 2011’s E3 now has a release date of Spring 2013. A sequel to the underrated Gamecube title, “Dark Moon” stars Mario’s younger brother Luigi. He still has his ghost hunting tools like a vacuum and flashlight, but expect to see better power-ups such as a blast of light that freezes more ghosts at once. There’s also more mansions to explore.

“Castlevania: Lords of Shadow--Mirror of Fate”
The latest “Castlevania” title is set to release in North America on March, 5 2013. It takes place 25 years after “Lords of Shadow.” It will focus on the Belmont clan, and feature such characters as Trevor and Simon. The game is supposed to lead players into “Lords of Shadows 2” that will be available later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

“Fire Emblem: Awakening”
First released in Japan last year, “Awakening” is going to released on February 4, 2013 in North America. Nintendo is offering a Fire Emblem 3DS bundle that includes a limited edition 3DS and the game. While there are many similarities to the other games in this popular franchise, “Awakening” expands on creating your own character and having it interact with Street Pass. There will also be DLC with the American release.
