A 38-year-old man from Boca Raton, whose identity is being withheld, was riding his bicycle southbound on State Road A1A, when he was involved in a collision with a truck and killed, according to Delray Beach Police.
The box truck had its right-turn signal on as it was was trying to make a right turn onto Del Harbor Drive. The bicycle rider attempted to overtake traffic on the right side of the road; however, he didn’t make it. The box truck hit the rider and killed him, according to the accident report.
The bicyclist's family has not yet been notified; hence, why his name is currently being withheld. This incident occurred Wednesday.
