The 37th annual Bellevue Picnic took place on Sat., May 15, 2014 at Red Caboose Park. Promoted as "a day of food, fun music & friends" the community picnic lived up to its motto as the neighborhood park and the adjoining community center grounds were covered with tents, games, food trucks, tables, and lots and lots of people of all ages, even though the day was partially overcast and cool.
Festival goers had to run the gauntlet of political hopefuls who pressed cards and fliers into their hands before making it to the vendors' booths. After being crowded by pleasant politicians, the pathway opened up to the fun stuff: pony rides, inflatable rides, food trucks, mechanical rides, a little train, and booths from churches, local schools, Bellevue banks, balloon animals, the Bellevue Microtel, publications and other local businesses.
The 2014 Bellevue Picnic was held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the neighborhood Red Caboose Park. Vendors were already signing up for next year's event. The picnic is sponsored by the Bellevue (Harpeth) Chamber of Commerce.
