360|iDev is coming to Denver - Sept 27 through Sept 30
For iPhone developers, conferences that focus on actual development are few and far between. Thankfully for Denverites, the 360|iDev conference is going to held here in the Mile High City at the end of September. If you're developing applications for the iPhone, you should be strongly considering attending this event. The conference runs from Sunday, September 27th, through Wed, September 30th.
A few must-attend sessions during the conference are a legal issues session on Monday the 28th, an App Store panel discussion on the 29th, and a paid apps session also on the 29th. Game developers may want to check out the P2P Multiplayer Gaming (an up-and-coming market) on the 29th and new developers should be making time for the iPhone 101 Hands-on session on the 27th.
The conference is boasting over 40 sessions right now in three tracks:
- Development Tips, Tricks and Stories
- Business of iPhone
- Sights, Sounds and Interactions
Finally, a strong recommendation for iPhone developers considering using OpenGL in their applications. Noel Llopis, owner of Snappy Touch, is giving a class prior to the conference. Running September 26 and 27, expect this to be a hot ticket item. If you can't make the training, there is an Open GL ES session on the 29th, but it won't compare to the in-depth and hands-on training of the class.
