The month of February will close with the 34th Annual Naples National Art Festival that will open on Feb. 23rd and close on the 24th this year. This art festival is ranked within the top ten nationally, along with ArtFest that also traditionally takes place the first weekend of the same month annually. SW Florida plays host to some of the best art shows and festivals that host both local and nationally known artists and crafters. The festival may be enjoyed from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days and is a free event; however, a $5.00 donation is suggested and greatly appreciated.
The event is hosted along Cambier Park just one block south of downtown Naples and all it's fine shopping options.
This event hosts over 260 individual artists and craft masters both from a local and national realm. It is a great means to network should you be of creative talent or just seeking some new art for your home, office or event.
Parking can get scarce for the event; however there will be free shuttles running for the entire event to aid in the walking distance to and from the event. This is a bonus as an average of over 22,000 guests attended this event just last year.
This event is sponsored and hosted by the Napes Art Association and the Von Liebig Art Center. The mission of the Naples Art Association is to promote and advance education, interest and participation in the contemporary visual arts. Some of the talents exhibited are from these categories: ceramics; digital art; furniture; graphics/printmaking; jewelry; metal; mixed media in 2D and 3D; painting; photography; sculpture and wood pieces as well. There is truly something for every preference and the food vendors are also some of the best around, it makes for a great weekend to visit this festival and in all honesty you will need both days to attend to see everything that is featured. I am a local artist and this is the best show to network with your fellow artists and make some new friends in your world of art.
