Halo studio 343 studios seems to be chomping at the bit to release what they have in story for Halo 5 –– or whatever name they should dub the next game in the series –– for Xbox One, according to a report today from GameSpot.
In a post to the Halo Waypoint blog, 343 Industries executive producer Josh Holmes said the newest Halo game will be “much more transformative” than 2012’s Halo 4 for the Xbox 360 because of the jump to next-gen.
“We're proud of what we accomplished with our first release in Halo 4, and now we're focused on something much more transformative as we make the leap to the next generation of Xbox,” Holmes said.
Holmes teased that 343 Industries is ready to share more information about the upcoming Halo game in the “not-so-distant future,” much like the studio did during E3 in June.
At the end of the blog, Holmes also dropped some early concept art of a new game location, which he says “feature prominently in a little game project we’re tinkering with …”
