32nd Annual Adams Morgan Day Festival is ready for DC area residents this Sunday, September 12, 2010 with popular Arts on Belmont, Florida and Columbia stages as well as the Dance Plaza. New this year is the specialty pavilions such as

Health (will showcase health, sports, fitness, diet, and social service organizations and companies. Co-Sponsor: Georgetown University Hospital);

Green (green roofs and rain barrels, green office upgrades, climate change, renewable energy, personal care products, plants, trees, compost and gardening, energy & water conservation, organic food and products, general home products and furniture, recycling and sustainable living practices);

Pet (consult with Maryland's Dog Whisperer, learn about adoption or pet choice, see services from health to products to services and specialty items: agility and games, adoption and rescue; walking, day care, and services) zones in addition to Bike Valet where bikers attending the Festival can leave their bikes it in the care of WABA for safekeeping.

First held in 1978, Adams Morgan Day has evolved into an outdoor cultural extravaganza that is about cultures being celebrated and represented!

Zero Burn Entertainment
DC Valentine
Moonfarmers
Andean Pulse (natives of the Colombian and Peruvian Andes, this group provides a unique sound combining traditional rhythms with African and European rhythms)
?E? The R&B Hip Hop Rock star
Batala Washington DC (an international all women band that plays Afro-Brazilian Samba-Reggae rhythms)
The Bandy Lions, Quiet Fire Soul Show (7-piece soul band)
Kushner Entertainment,
Kid Goat
(5-piece roots rock band; a cross btwn rock, country, folk and blues with male and female vocals, harmonies and a focus on songwriting and musicianship)
Funkmnkyz (Funk Monkeys) (rock and hip hip influence)
Sitar Arts Center (performance by sitar arts center - a kids band with 7 youth and director; jazz and rock songs ad also the percussion ensemble of 8-12 youth)
Nayas (5 performers with a fusion of latin/reggae/ska/rock; songs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese), Superflydisco (1970's disco cover band)
King Baba James (singing, dancing, African roots mix with contemporary and acrobatics)
Zumba Fitness Party (high energy Latin and international music and moves)
Andrea Wood Quintet (5 experienced and professional jazz musicians based in DC/ Mix of Jazz standards and Brazilian Bossa Nova as well as some original and classic soul and funk tunes)
