31st Montreal Jazz Festival - Part 2: Day to Dusk

Locals and tourists alike flocked to the 31st Festival International de Jazz de Montreal and enjoyed the music, food and atmosphere around Place des Arts and Place des Festivals, where the free outdoor events are taking place. From June 25th to July 6th, the crowds can expect great music on stages and in the streets between show times. Characters in costumes walk among regular folk stirring up all kinds of delightful mischief.

The term Jazz is used loosely as the range of music styles at the festival is so wide that there is truly something to satisfy every taste and plenty of new music to keep things interesting. There are six outdoor stages with free shows and several indoor venues with tickets for sale. The Festival concludes this year with a New Orleans Mardi Gras style parade along Ste. Catherine Street followed by a performance by the Soul Rebels Brass Band with other guests on the TD main stage at Place des Festivals.
