311 bringing Unity Tour to O.C. Fair stage Sunday 8/3

So*Cal-based alternative/rockers 311 have been on the road for a few months, touring around the country in support of their excellent new studio album, Stereolithic (which was released on March 11th, a.k.a. '311 Day').

Led by the single 'Five of Everything' and featuring slick, anthemic numbers such as 'Simple True', 'Friday Afternoon' and 'Revelation of the Year', the album is arguably one of the shining moments of their career.

The tour will find the band taking the stage at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa on Sunday, August 3rd.

What better time to head out to the O.C. Fair than the same day you can unwind with a 311 gig after a day of enjoying everything the fair has to offer?

Tickets are still available for the show, which also features an opening set by the Wheeland Brothers.

In addition to the O.C. Fair concert and ongoing touring activities, 311 also announced another cruise - this one will set sail in February 2015, heading to Jamaica with bands such as the Dirty Heads, Pepper, and more. As a full-fledged celebration of all things 311, the band will perform 1999's Soundsystem - an album that has been a fan favorite since its release - in its entirety on the cruise.

They're definitely one of the hardest-working bands around, and if you've never seen them live you owe it to yourself to get out to the Pacific Amphitheater on August 3rd to take in what promises to be another memorable evening.
