Reggae/rock veterans 311 have finally announced their new studio album: Stereolithic will be released on March 11, to coincide with their 311 Day concert in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A collection of 15 new songs, Stereolithic will be the follow-up to 2011's Universal Pulse, and is another release from the band since becoming independent artists.

As such, the new album was announced along with a Pledge Music campaign that will host pre-orders. Fans can head over there now to pre-order the album in a number of fancy packages, many of which feature exclusives like signed memorabilia and the like.

A statement from the band is included on the Pledge page:

This is our first self-funded fully-independent album release (since our local Omaha release back in 1990)! Thank you for taking this journey with us. We’re grateful for your support of our music.

Look for more news regarding the album's lead single soon - that's also expected to be announced sometime in the next week or so.
