If you are looking for music, entertainment, family fun and more to fill your weekend, there is only one place to be. The 30th Annual Main Street Days in Grapevine is happening this weekend. Festival begins on Friday, May 16, 2014 and runs through Sunday, May 18, 2014.
Some of the events do require online or prior registration so make sure to visit the individual websites. LEGOland Discovery Center will be hosting the Junior Builder Competition for ages 5 - 12. Please be aware that pre-registration was required to compete and this registration is now closed. If your registration was accepted you should have received your designated time slot. Children who did not register to compete can still take part in the open build and take pictures with Bertie.
The fun will also include a carnival complete with midway. Whether you enjoy rides or games, there is sure to be something for everyone.
If you are looking more for adult fun then join in a game of croquet, washers, checkers, or the bean bag toss. Did I mention relaxing and sipping Chadonnay? The event will also include a plethora of live music entertainment on 7 different stages.
There will be tours and storytelling. Demonstrations will include a history lesson in vintage letterpress, cotton ginning in addition to other simple crafts from over 100 years ago.
Stroll along Main Street and enjoy shopping or browsing the many artisan booths.

JG Entertainment will sponsor the 1st Annual DfW Icon, a vocal competition. This competition is open to 7 - 24 years olds. Online registration is required at www.DFWICON.com. Grand prize will include a package exceeding $20,00.00 and will benefit Kidd’s Kids.
Concessions will include turkey legs, pizza, corn dogs, funnel cakes and more.
