Jim Campbell in North Carolina during his 30,000-mile trek
Jim Campbell, who rode 30,000 miles in 30 days to raise money for muscular dystrophy, is in a Fort Worth hospital following a serious accident there. This report came from Jim's wife, Beth, on Sunday on Jim's FaceBook page where his month-long odyssey was tracked.
The following report was sent by Jeff Sirles, a friend of Jim's.
Hi Ken
Thought you may want to know Jim Campbell was in a severe bike wreck in Ft. Worth, Tx over the weekend. He is hospitalized there. Ill spare the details… its all on his 30K for MDA facebook. He needs our support in other ways now. He is a fighter and will live to ride another day. Please let your readers know.
Regards
Jeff Sirles
According to Beth Campbell's statement, Jim suffered a broken neck and pelvis. He was taken to the intensive care unit at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth. His daughter Natasha reports that he was later moved to the Trauma Ortho floor, where he remains.
"His sprits are lifted to hear that so many people care," said Natasha.

It's truly a sad day whenever a fellow rider goes down. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Thanks for the information.
I so very much enjoyed reading Jim's stories of his ride for MDA. Some made me laugh.
I will also be praying for a fast recovery for Jim.
Very sad to hear of the accident that Jim was involved in. His "diaries"shown on your pages reveal a genuine guy that genuinely enjoyed riding and other peoples company. All the best from New Zealand
Lets do it again
