The series finale of "30 Rock" will air tonight, January 31st, at 8:00pm EST on NBC. The special one-hour episode will end the sitcom's seven-season run and feature guest stars Salma Hayek, Julianne Moore, Nancy Pelosi, Ice-T, and others.
"30 Rock" has been celebrated by award shows, magazines, bloggers, and even Ben & Jerry's in the week leading up to its finale.
On Sunday, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey took home Screen Actors Guild Awards for their portrayals of Jack Donaghy and Liz Lemon. Jane Krakowski, who plays Jenna on "30 Rock", took part in the opening sequence in the awards show, joking that she had once played Chevy Chase's daughter but would now be playing his wife.
Baldwin, Fey, and Tracy Morgan currently grace the cover of Rolling Stone, costumed as Superman, Lois Lane, and Super Boy, respectively. Rolling Stone's website also has a slideshow of the best "30 Rock" one-liners.
Ice cream royalty Ben & Jerry's has announced plans to create a special flavor in honor of "30 Rock", which will be available in February. (Ben & Jerry's is not new to the pop culture game, having already created flavors in honor of TV hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon.) The flavor and its sure-to-be-funny name will be announced today to coincide with the finale.
Bloggers around the globe are already mourning the loss of one of television's smartest, funniest, most critically acclaimed (if not high-rated) sitcoms. Those feeling the need to commiserate can scroll through the Huffington Post's "30 Rock" finale tag, or head over to Tumblr and laugh at some classic Liz Lemon gifs.
